The Rumors Are True...
... I will be doing Open Studios this weekend coming up. I'll be here 11-6 Saturday and Sunday. You should come by. I had a chance to work on a few more things and wanted to get them on the blog before the weekend.
Below is 3 of the 12"x12s" put together as a triptych. Not my original idea, but I like it. Thats what happens when you let people in your studio to look at your stuff in progress. Thanks guys!

Open Studios Time Again
Here's just some of the work. I'm finishing things up in the studio these next couple of weeks and plan on posting more.

"Too Big to Fail",48"42", acrylic on panel

"Providence".48"x42", acrylic on panel

"Wood Owl",30"x22",acrylic on panel
The next four are works on paper. I keep one of these going in the studio all the time as a place to try new ideas. They have a different feel than the paintings, but some of the elements of the collages do end up in paintings later.

"Break One Off",34"x24",collage/multimedia on paper

"Main Street",30"x22",collage/multimedia on paper

"Conversely",30"x22",collage/multimedia on paper

"Trotting Out Lincoln",48"x42",collage/multimedia on paper
The four paintings below are all 12"x12". I have a bunch of these in progress and they'll get posted along with a bunch of other stuff that I'm finishing up for Open Studios.

It has been a while, but I'm still here. Just doing alot more painting than blogging. This is the first of a bunch of new work that I'll be posting in the next couple of weeks before Open Studios the first 2 weekends of June. This is one of many small paintings I've been working on and happens to be hanging down at the Pro-Arts Gallery. I

Eric Kent Wines

Here's how the wine label turned out for Eric Kent Cellars. These are really great wines (tried 'em a little earlier than suggested- still great) from a winery that works with artists to create beautiful labels as well. Check out the Eric Kent site here:http://www.erickentwines.com/home.jsp. My friend Tony did a label too- look for the Russian River Pinot Noir.

This just in!
Due to popular demand, (no really), I published an edition of giclee prints of "Bluebird". This is an edition of 100 made in conjunction with Cantoo graphics in Emeryville. The image is 24"x24" with a 2" border on archival rag paper. It's all state of the art down there at Cantoo and the quality is amazing. If you're interested, send me an e-mail for more info. I also have just 2 artist proofs left of "The Gift"print. Thanks again to everybody that showed up at my Open Studio weekend! I will definitely do it again when the next batch of work comes together.
